Description of the Idea or Approach: The wiNLytix procedure combines the established 5-phase mediation process with quantitative decision-making methods from technical problem-solving approaches. It was first presented at the Mediation Congress 2020 and aims to enhance decision-making in business mediation through the quantitative assessment of needs and solution options. Participants can evaluate their needs on a scale, leading to a transparent and fair decision-making process.

Goals: The primary goal is to identify solution options that fall within the win-win area. Additional objectives include ensuring transparency in the process and enabling participants to document and justify their decisions to third parties.

Outcomes: The aim is to determine the rationally best solution options that are understandable for all parties involved. The application of this procedure is expected to yield better and more sustainable results, provided that participants are open to quantitative methods.

Process: The process consists of five phases, ranging from the introduction of the procedure to decision-making and agreements. Key steps include the quantitative weighting of needs and the evaluation of solution options.

Compatibility with Other Procedures or Ideas: The procedure can be combined with other mediation methods to support participants who are less comfortable with numbers. Existing mediation structures can be utilized, with technical tools required for data processing.

Participants: No special qualifications beyond those of a mediator are necessary for implementation, aside from understanding the procedure. Complex calculations can be performed using common software tools.
