Ombuds Day 2025

The ABA recognizes the second Thursday of October as Ombuds Day to highlight the ombuds profession. The goals of Ombuds Day are to improve public awareness of ombuds, to connect ombuds in their respective communities, and to encourage greater use of ombuds programs and services.

On the second Thursday of October, which is 9 October 2025, the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Dispute Resolution Section Ombuds Committee and Ombuds Day Subcommittee invites you to the 8th annual recognition of a profession that has existed for centuries yet remains relatively unknown: the ombuds.
