Conference Recap:

#IOA2021 was a conference like no other. Yet in some ways, it was very familiar. Ombuds and ombuds friends talked, laughed, made new friends, and gained insights into better ombudsing. Just take a look at the word cloud below to understand what attendees were able to take away from this event.

We may not have shared a ride from the airport, but we did share a drink! We may not have exchanged business cards, but we exchanged thoughts across multiple time zones with participants all over the world simultaneously. We may not have walked up to a microphone to ask a question, but we walked across new bridges of understanding about the expansive roles ombuds play in paving the way for equity and justice in a dynamic world.
