Wow – I can’t believe how close we are to the next IOA Annual Conference. I also can’t believe this will be our third year being together virtually. It occurs to me just how much I rely on this conference to connect with other ombuds. To fill up my cup for the year with energy, with connection, with creativity. I am eagerly awaiting seeing you all!

While I am still getting used to attending the conference virtually, the gathering came alive for me last year during, “Experience: On Display,” curated and hosted by Adam Barak Kleinberger and me. This was a chance for attendees to display art about their experiences and engage in discussion with gallery-goers at the conference.  I was shocked at how many people joined to see and talk about the art, and to make some art all together during the group art project. The interest, the care, the engagement – it infused my home office space with energy that I carried with me for a long time after!

Here we are, about to meet again and I couldn’t be more excited! This session, in yet another new format this year, will be exciting, new, and energizing! We have a new group art project and an exciting online pop-up art gallery to show off our colleagues’ work.

So please, join us! Share in this energy we create together!

What has been your experience since the last conference? What does ‘connection’ mean to you?

Share with us in your own, unique way and consider contributing to our pop-up art exhibit!
