This year, the ABA Ombuds Day Subcommittee is excited to host an event entitled Exploring the AI Landscape: Challenges and Opportunities for Ombuds. This engaging and wide-ranging discussion will include perspectives from different ombuds sectors, and will center around the impact that artificial intelligence will have on the future of the ombuds profession. With the help of a facilitator, reactors representing various approaches to ombudsing will engage in thoughtful discussion and deliberation regarding the challenges and the opportunities that AI will present for our work. We hope that this conversation will help our profession to think differently, challenge assumptions, and identify areas for growth and change that new technologies will present.
