![]() Debra Chew is the Director of the Division of Inclusivity, Culture, and Equity (DICE) at the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA). In this role she serves as the EEO Director, Director of the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI), and the Chief Culture Officer. In these capacities, she oversees a portfolio consisting of EEO complaints of discrimination, affirmative employment, conflict resolution, the Values-Based Culture Initiative (VBCI), and advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in employment, management, and in all business activities.
Prior to taking this role in 2023, Ms. Abbott was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Community Affairs at Lifespan Corporation, an academic health system affiliated with The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and the largest employer in the state of Rhode Island. With her transformative leadership approach, she created synergy across the system by centralizing service delivery, focusing on superior customer service and keeping the patient at the center of the change agenda. Ms. Abbott holds a Masters of Business Administration from Binghamton University with a concentration in International Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Cortland State University. She is SPHR credentialed and is a graduate of the Michigan Business School Executive Human Resources Program.
Chris has also served for 25 years in the United States Navy Reserve, in which he is currently a Captain in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He was most recently called to active duty in 2020-21. Chris earned his BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and his JD from Albany Law School of Union University, in Albany New York. He has also completed the Rotman School of Management Executive Program
Together with the hospital’s President and CEO, she launched and continues to contribute to the organization’s high-reliability organization (HRO) quality improvement initiative, resulting in ongoing reductions in the rate of serious safety events and numerous improvements to care quality - including national recognition of nurse sensitive outcomes measurement performance. Under Wood’s leadership, Boston Children’s Nursing is currently pursuing its fifth ANCC Magnetâ re-designation representing the most prestigious international distinction a health care organization can receive for direct care nursing excellence. The hospital has also received numerous specialty-focused awards including the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses Beacon Awards and five successive Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Award designations. Earlier in her career, Wood held progressive nursing and operational leadership roles within three leading academic healthcare settings: The Johns Hopkins Hospital Children's Center, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and The University of Pennsylvania Health System serving in pediatric nursing, educational, and operations improvement roles. Additionally, Wood served as National Vice President, Clinical Solutions, Siemens Healthcare - now Cerner/Oracle Corporation where she managed clinical and business professional services, and subsequently led clinical IT business development nationally. Wood received a Bachelor of Science (BSN) degree in Nursing, Magna Cum Laude from West Virginia University, a Master of Science (MS) degree in maternal-child nursing / pediatric oncology clinical nurse specialist preparation from The University of Maryland, Baltimore, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from The Johns Hopkins University. She completed a Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) Foundation Executive Nurse Fellowship as part of a selective three-year national executive leadership program and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN). Wood currently serves on a wide range of boards including President, American Nurse’s Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet/Pathway to Excellence Board of Directors, Boston Children’s Hospital Board of Trustees (ex officio), CRICO Board of Directors, Children’s Hospital Coalition/PHLOW Board, Pediatric Physician Organization of Children’s (PPOC) Board, Simmons University Board, and The Joint Commission’s Chief Nursing Executive (CNE) Advisory Board. LeManuel Lee Bitsóí (Diné/Navajo), EdD, is a critical ethnographer and bioethicist who specializes in guiding institutions and organizations to become more diverse, equitable and inclusive for equity seeking students and scholars. Dr. Bitsóí currently serves as Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Brandeis University. Previously, he served as Associate Vice President for Diversity Affairs and Special Advisor to the President for Indigenous Affairs at Fort Lewis College. He has also served in administrative and faculty roles at Harvard University, Dartmouth College, Georgetown University, Rush University and Stony Brook University. In addition, Dr. Bitsóí serves on various national boards and associations, including the Editorial Board for INSIGHT into Diversity and the Board of Directors for the Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS). Admirably, Dr. Bitsóí has devoted his career to broadening the participation of underrepresented, underserved and unmentioned students to become scientists, researchers and scientifically-informed community members. Dr. Bitsóí relies on indigenous epistemologies to guide his work and emphasizes that diversity is a constantly evolving interdependent ecosystem that requires mindful participation by everyone. Dr. Bitsóí has been honored and recognized for his diversity, equity and inclusion accomplishments by various entities and institutions including the Navajo Nation, Harvard Medical School, University of Central Florida, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Northern Arizona University, North American Indian Center of Boston and SACNAS. Dr. Bitsóí earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of New Mexico (Phi Beta Kappa), holds a master of education degree from Harvard University (Phi Delta Kappa) and a doctorate degree in higher education administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
Richard has held a number of senior and executive management positions during his career. He has broad experience in developing and executing business strategies, together with leading client relationships, business development and service delivery functions. At Fair Way, Richard uses his experience to lead and inspire a dedicated and highly capable team of professionals. He encourages constant process and system improvements to help them excel in their roles and provide a great experience for Fair Way’s customers. Richard joined Fair Way in November 2017 as General Manager: Business Development, having accountability for leading strategic business development and client relationship management for emerging opportunities within the business. In 2019 Richard became Chief Client Officer, with responsibility for providing strategic and people leadership of all client facing roles and for the effective delivery of all Fair Way’s professional services. As General Manager Operations, Richard works within the Senior Management Team to guide Fair Way’s strategic priorities, together with having full operational responsibility for the day to day resourcing and delivery of all Fair Way’s professional services.
