About the Finance Committee and Their Mission

The IOA Finance Committee institutes the necessary financial strategies, processes, and controls to meet all IOA goals and objectives.

  • Continue review of IOA policies and required revisions
  • Complete strategic financial review and recommendations, resulting in Strategic Financial Plan and Vision for IOA
  • Ongoing review of monthly financial statements, investments, and communication of concerns and highlights to the IOA board

 Accomplishments 2019-2020

  • Investment and reinvestment in IOA were the themes for the 2019 and 2020; new Executive Director was hired, additional resources were approved for volunteer and staff travel to present at stakeholder organizational conferences to promote the role and value of the Organizational Ombudsman
  • Realized a year-end $95,000 surplus
  • Collaborated with staff and committees on development of a conservative yet growth-oriented 2020 budget
  • Continued to develop diversified and robust IOA revenue streams to contribute to fiscal health
