Helping People Get Unstuck: Mindsets that Generate Responsibility and Possibility

Course Description

People come to the ombuds to address a variety of concerns. It is part of our role to coach toward positive resolution, compassionately and productively. Sometimes this might involve helping a visitor shift his/her mindsets toward more openness, personal responsibility, and generating options.

This webinar presents two key core mindsets- the ‘player’ mindset and the ‘learner’ mindset, and will demonstrate how they can be used to help ‘get unstuck’ and empower people to move forward.

Learning Objectives

  1. Learn about two key mindsets that help people take back responsibility for addressing the challenges they face
  2. Help visitors 'get unstuck' and generate options for next steps
  3. Learn tools for coaching toward productive next actions
